Torah Above All: A Moving Siyum Celebration at Seeach Sod’s “Olamot Bnei Brak” Program

A deeply emotional and uplifting Siyum HaMasechta recently took place at the Olamot Bnei Brak division of Seeach Sod — a unique Torah-based rehabilitative framework for young men with disabilities. Despite their daily personal challenges, the participants dedicate themselves to Torah learning with heartfelt devotion, perseverance, and faith.

The event marked the conclusion of Masechet Megillah, studied intensively in recent months. At the heart of the celebration were words of inspiration about the tremendous merit and mission of learning Torah amid challenge — learning that comes with sacrifice, inner drive, and heartfelt work.

An Uplifting and Emotional Moment of Torah

Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu Zeitlin shlit”a, a respected Rav of Har Yona and dayan in the Beit Din of HaGaon Rav Moshe Gross shlit”a, honored the students with his presence. He conducted an oral exam on the masechta and was moved to tears by their sharp understanding, fluent recall, and the radiant joy that shone on their faces as they spoke in learning.

At the conclusion of the exam, Rabbi Zeitlin personally awarded each student a certificate of recognition — a heartfelt tribute to their spiritual and emotional effort.

Words That Enter the Heart – Blessings from Gedolei Yisrael

The event was accompanied by a heartfelt letter from HaGaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Shimon Galei shlit”a, who expressed his admiration for the students’ sincerity, effort, and joy in Torah learning. “Every word of Torah from their mouths pierces the heavens and brings nachas to Hashem,” he wrote, blessing them to continue rising in Torah and yirat Shamayim with joy, health, and success.

A special blessing was also sent by HaRishon LeTzion, Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi David Yosef shlit”a, who wrote:

“I extend my heartfelt bracha to you, dear and beloved students, who dedicate your strength to Torah through effort and perseverance — truly fulfilling ‘You toiled and succeeded — believe it!’ Your Torah ascends on high and brings great pleasure before our Father in Heaven. Be strong and do not falter!”

Recognizing True Dedication

Rabbi Mordechai Levy, Director of the Central and Northern Districts at Seeach Sod, praised the program’s dedicated staff, led by Rabbi Natan’el Danchi. “This team doesn’t just teach — they live alongside the students, guiding each one personally with endless devotion. The visible achievements are a result of emotional, spiritual, and educational support given with faith, love, and a wide heart.”

A parent of one of the students shared moving words:

“You bring out the hidden strengths in these boys — strengths that even we, their parents, didn’t always know existed. We are constantly amazed by your investment, your sensitivity, and your unwavering belief in them. You don’t just teach — you uplift souls.”

The Glory of Torah — Even Through Challenge

The event concluded with a joyous seudat mitzvah, accompanied by spirited singing and dancing led by singer R’ Amiran Dvir, who filled the hall with heartfelt music and uplifting kedusha. The students themselves broke out in dance, filled with inner joy that transcended physical limitations.

All present testified that this was a moment of true kiddush Hashem, of Torah learning from a place of sincerity and purity — not just a siyum, but a story of triumph: the triumph of spirit, perseverance, and true love of Torah.

As was said at the event:
“Disability does not define a person — the choice to rise, to learn, to grow, and to bring joy to Hashem does.”
