Minister of Health’s Shield of Honor Awarded to Rabbi Shimon Levy, CEO of Seeach Sod

Last week, a special ceremony was held at the Knesset for the presentation of the Minister of Health’s Shield of Honor.

During the event, the Minister of Health, Rabbi Uriel Buso, presented the 2024 Shield of Honor Award to Rabbi Shimon Levy, CEO of Seeach Sod in recognition of his dedicated and mission-driven service to children, teens, and adults with special needs.

The award highlighted Rabbi Levy’s exceptional leadership during the challenging time of the Iron Swords War, when many regions across Israel were under heavy missile fire and thousands of families — including many with children with special needs — were in urgent need of assistance.

In the midst of this complex and distressing reality, Rabbi Levy demonstrated remarkable initiative, responsibility, and inspiring leadership. Together with the professional teams of Seeach Sod, he established a wide-ranging emotional and medical care system to support thousands of students and their families.

The Ministry of Health described Rabbi Levy’s efforts as “a beacon of stability and humanity in a time of turmoil.” The commendation expressed deep appreciation for his unwavering dedication and refusal to back down from the challenge, working tirelessly to ensure the continuity of care and support — in the spirit of the values passed down through generations.
