Siddur Party for Nonverbal Preschool Class
Last week, a unique and emotional Siddur Party took place in our preschool class for 7 non-verbal young boys, where they received their very own special "interactive siddur".
Full-Day Workshop for Administrative Staff
The administrative staff of Seeach Sod’s various frameworks attended a full-day workshop at the Bnei Brak Vocational Training Center, where they gained inspiration and practical tools on how to augment their work. With Seeach Sod’s exponential growth in recent years, its staff has grown proportionately and the regularly held workshops and seminars play an essential role in consolidating all the various staff members and reminding them of their common goal – enhancing the lives of the children and adults in Seeach Sod’s care.
Joint Learning Session in Honor of Shavuos
In anticipation of Chag Hashavuos, the students of Yeshivah Otzar Yerushalayim had a joint learning session with boys from the Ger and Belz Talmud Torah’s. What a heartwarming scene – boys from regular yeshivos sitting side by side with boys with disabilities, learning Hashem’s holy Torah and then dancing together in joyous unity!
New Apartment Inaugurated
Yet another group home has been opened on Rechov Gedera, making it the 22nd apartment in Seeach Sod’s residential network. The 6 boys, ranging in age between 18 and 30, who call this apartment home are happily acclimating to their beautifully renovated abode and have even gotten to know some of their neighbors.
Fathers and Sons Learn Together Before Shavuos
In what has become a yearly tradition, the boys in the Ma’as Vocational Training Center had a joint learning session with their father.
Seminary Girls Prepare Shavuos Craft with Preschool Kids
In honor of the Shavuos, a group of English speaking students from the Eshel Seminary volunteered their time to help our preschool kids prepare a beautiful flower bouquet! The session was arranged by Mrs. Rivka Bergstein, Coordinator of Special Projects at Seeach Sod.
In Honor of Rabi Shimon
Lag Ba’omer was celebrated with bonfires, music and dancing for the boys of Yeshivas Otzar Yerushalayim. May the merit of the great Rabi Shimon bar Yochai stand in good stead for these special neshamos!
Yom Ha’atzmaut Outdoor Barbecue
The residents of three group homes enjoyed a joint barbecue in honor of Yom Ha’atzmaut. Grilled meats, salad, and shish-kebobs made for a delightful picnic enjoyed together in the pleasant outdoors.
Rosh Chodesh Outing
On Rosh Chodesh, the boys in Yeshivas Otzar Yerushalayim enjoyed an exciting full-day trip, as a reward for a contest which they completed successfully over bein hazemanim.
Shabbaton in Miron
The students of Yeshivas Otzar Yerushalayim spent the weekend of Shabbos Parshas Tazria in the North, enjoying 3 full days of adventure and inspiration.
