HaTorah joined the bachurim of Rav Nauvirt&#8217;s yeshivah ketanah in Bayit v&#8217;Gan, Pnei Shmuel, learning together in preparation for Shavuos with the participation of the latter&#8217;s mashgiach, hagaon Rav Tzvi Pinnes, shilta.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1713c54    thumb-slider elementor-widget elementor-widget-shortcode\" data-id=\"1713c54\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"shortcode.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-shortcode\"><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3170ad9 body-font dir-ltr elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3170ad9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Otzar HaTorah&#8217;s rosh yeshivah, Rav Avraham Kaufman, who directed the event, opened by thanking Seeach Sod&#8217;s management and CEO, Rabbi Shimon Levi, for constantly thinking of ways to improve and upgrade the students&#8217; experience. He also thanked Yeshivah Pnei Shmuel for taking part in this beautiful initiative. Rabbi Kaufman quoted the Ohr Hachaim&#8217;s explanation of the passuk &#8220;bachodesh hashlishi\u2026vayis&#8217;u miRefidim vayavo&#8217;u Midbar Sinai\u2026vayichan sham Yisrael \u2013 on the third month\u2026they traveled from Refidim and they came to the Sinai Desert\u2026and Yisrael encamped there,&#8221; that these are the three ways through which one can acquire Torah. First, &#8220;vayis&#8217;u miRefidim&#8221; \u2013 by dropping the &#8220;refidim,&#8221; laziness, and putting efforts into Torah learning; second, &#8220;vayavo&#8217;u Midbar Sinai&#8221; \u2013 by making oneself barren like a desert; and third, &#8220;vayichan sham Yisrael&#8221; \u2013 as Rashi explains it, &#8220;like one man with one heart&#8221;. The way to study Torah and to acquire it is by learning together with a chavrusa.<\/p><p>Rav Nosson Gold, maggid shiur, then said Tehillim aloud, with the yeshivah boys repeating each passuk after him. A second maggid shiur, Rav Yechiel Estherson, pronounced the Mi Sheberach. The boys then followed with inspired singing in preparation for the event, after which they sat down to learn together. It was beautiful to see the students of Otzar HaTorah &#8220;arguing n learning&#8221; with the students of Pnei Shmuel, and to hear the sounds of Torah reverberating through the beis midrash.<\/p><p>It was a breathtaking event that cannot be adequately described in words.<\/p><p>After the inspirational learning session, the mashgiach of Yeshivah Pnei Shmuel, Rav Tzvi Pinnes, spoke emotionally about his surprise; how he had initially thought that he was bringing his students to give to the students of Otzar HaTorah, but how obvious it was that the boys of Otzar HaTorah were really the givers. He shared his desire to see this kind of cooperation become a routine event.<\/p><p>Next, noted speaker Rabbi Yeshayah Gutfarb delivered the keynote address. He shared stories of the devotion and dedication that Jews have always shown toward Torah learning throughout the generations, no matter what difficulties they were going through, and told the boys how impressed he was by their joint learning and the obvious joy and love of Torah that they displayed. His speech was interspersed with songs and praises for Hashem for giving us the Torah.<\/p><p>The boys concluded their day together with joyous singing and dancing.
