Tefillos to Remember
As usual, the Respite Center was filled to capacity during Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. With their special-needs children entrusted in professional and warm care at the Respite Center, parents were able to concentrate on their fervent prayers on these holiest days of the year.
Praying at Kever Shmuel Hanavi
The residents of the Nelson Glick Group Home, under the devoted supervision of coordinator Chaim Loebel, paid a visit to the burial site of Shmuel Hanavi, in keeping with the custom to pray at sacred burial sites during the Days of Awe, in order to evoke the tzaddik's merits for a good year.
First Aid Course for Medical Staff
Seeach Sod’s medical staff underwent a week-long course on first aid. The course, arranged by Medical Director Mrs. Anat Nagar, was administered by nurses from Terem Emergency Medical Center and included theoretical knowledge, visual presentations, and hands-on demonstrations.

Welcome to First Grade!
Sunday, September 1st was Orientation Day for the new first graders in Seeach Sod’s Early Childhood Division. The girls showed up bright and early, together with their mothers.
Dressed in starched uniform shirts and clutching their brand new knapsacks, their eyes shone with excitement as they took in the scenes of their new “big-girl” classroom, their teachers and classmates.

Chazzan Tsudik Greenwald visited our Vocational Training Center for Boys on August 28 and inspired the boys with stirring chazzanus, in preparation for the upcoming Days of Awe.

Elul
Usually, as we begin to hear the sound of the shofar, the school year begins. This year, however, since Elul began in early August, the school system remained closed until a week and a half before Rosh Hashanah.
A Dream Vacation!
The residents of our group homes enjoyed a fabulous vacation in Tzfat!
This year, our group home residents enjoyed a rejuvenating retreat in a stunning resort on Har Canaan, in the Tzfat mountainside. Each group home received their own villa, each one surrounded by lush lawns and with its own Jacuzzi.

What is hydrotherapy?
Hydrotherapy enables motor skills training that the patient struggles with or cannot perform due to physical disabilities outside the water. Hydrotherapy is also enjoyable and helps develop positive self-perception.
The goals of the Therapeutic Pool include:
improving stability, equilibrium, and self-balance, strengthening muscles, improving body image, building body schematics and increasing range of motion, improving respiratory control and respiratory organization, developing communication skills, providing a sense of confidence and independence, learning different swimming skills.
