Preparing for the Days of Awe

Chazzan Tsudik Greenwald visited our Vocational Training Center for Boys on August 28 and inspired the boys with stirring chazzanus, in preparation for the upcoming Days of Awe.

He was joined by our very own aspiring Chazzan Menachem Eisenbach, whose beautiful harmony pulled at the heartstrings of all those who listened.

Menachem , a young man in his 20’s, is plagued by both physical and mental handicaps and near blindness. He is nevertheless a happy, easygoing young man who developed a strong affinity for chazzanus. Menachem has appeared several times on stage alongside renowned Chazzan Chaim Adler, who considers Menachem a dear friend and helps him improve his chazzanus skills. But performing with Tsudik Greenwald was a first for Menachem. It was hard to tell which one of them considered it a greater privilege! Chazzan Greenwald was visibly emotional as the handicapped young man sang along “Shehichiyanu” with him.
