The Joy of a Mitzva

One of our counselors works professionally in the preparation of tefillin boxes, and he provided our students with a unique opportunity to learn about the mitzva of tefillin by opening a “tefillin-rehabilitation” station. He taught our students about the color of tefillin and the method of painting the boxes, the caution required at every stage, and the declaration of “leshem kedushat tefillin.” He meets with every student individually, so that everyone gets to have an hour of quality time to experience the joy of the mitzva of tefillin.
